We were called back to an old house that we previously did the floors to the front half of the house. Now the kitchen floor needed redone. The homeowners tore out the existing 5 layers of flooring that was about 2 inches thick . We had to replace some of the old antique heart pine boards.  

We started working on these floors with sanding the years of dirt and neglect off to see the quality of the boards. We saw that most of the living room was in pretty poor shape, along with the front foyer and dining. We already knew that we were going to install new hardwood flooring in the office area. So we went ahead and tore out all the original flooring and replaced it with new, keeping the feature strip look in all the rooms. We also refinished the staircase and upstairs hall.
