Time to Update

We were called to tear out the carpet upstairs, and install pre-finished hardwood flooring. After we did that we tore out the carpet off the steps and stained stair treads to match the pre-finished flooring. We decided to tackle the balustrade before installing the stair treads and risers.
For the balustrade, the handrails and boxed newel posts were painted white. The wooden balusters were replaced with black metal balusters.
Here are a few photos of the before and after.

We also replaced the rosette on the upstairs handrail.
